“I’d rather have a Cadillac CTS-V in similar trim...”
I like the cut of your jib... If only they made them with AWD... then I’d ditch my German Ubersedan for one. I loved my first gen CTS-V, but it was shit in the winter, even with winter tires....

Good read, but I will never understand people’s gripe with the skip shift. And then every publication asked GM why they do it. Stop! You know why they do it. It keeps you from paying the $1000 gas guzzler tax because the emissions test happens 1-2-3 gear shifts under a certain mph and making the testers shift to 4th gear in these parameters make the car “more efficient”

I guess they chose that route over VW’s diesel emission plan...

yes, but that is fine by me. What I am saying is why does every publication harp on it? It saves money and isn’t a big deal. Then they ask why GM does it, without explaining that they know why and makes GM just sound dumb for doing it.

Maybe they just don’t know themselves? Or they’re paid by the word...
I guess if you they buy a manual transmission, they can trade in their worries for some rev hang.

And they make it simple to bypass with a Kit from the aftermarket. It’s not a big deal.
